David Bintner, the owner, was easy to work with. He was very responsive, honest, communicated well and kept me in the loop through the whole process. His team was very polite and responsible with my property and they cleaned up the job site thoroughly each day.
The work was completed on schedule, on budget and I am very, very pleased with the way the windows turned out. I would definitely use their services again. I already have some ideas for more projects…”

“We met Dave from 88 contracting a little over a year ago when our daughter moved into a house in Philadelphia. The house required a good amount of work – he worked with a plumber to do French drains, because of leaks due to sump pumps not working correctly. He put in new flooring and wallpaper. The front door would not open and close completely, and he had to take the door off and do a lot of work to make it close and lock correctly.
When we visited again this year, we asked him to come back and build in some shelves, along with fixing multiple doors that were not level and would not close completely.”

“Dave provided incredible support during my partner and my first home renovation. He demo’d our bathroom and installed a BEAUTIFUL new floor and shower/wall tile, complete with custom inlets for in-wall shelving. He helped me measure and order shower doors (atypical measurements) and installed them perfectly. He also worked on our kitchen – installing new tile backsplash, mounting a range hood, and installing kitchen cabinets.
He took on some even bigger lifts for us as well, like knocking out our rear wall to expand what was once a very small window in the kitchen. We used someone else for drywallers – which we sincerely regretted. However, Dave didn’t berate us for a misstep, and instead was eager to come in and fix issues and re-frame every single door, window, and instal new baseboards. Our house isn’t perfectly even (very old South Philly home) so his attention to detail for atypical measurements and situations was necessary!
Since this initial work, he has ordered and replaced all of our windows and will be coming back in the next couple of weeks to instal our patio fence and new front awning. We have endless projects and there is no one else I’d even consider calling.
I’ve referred Dave to a number of friends and will forever continue to do so..”

“My wife and I had our kitchen remodeled earlier this year. We were originally working with another contracting group who had us order all of our cabinets and fixtures only for them to cancel on us the day before. We were very upset because we live in a small city row home and there was no room for all of these cabinets. Dave was referred to us from a close friend and after a quick phone call, we had a date on the books. Dave and Chris and the rest of his team were awesome to say the least. Timely everyday of the project and produced high quality work. Also very accountable and took responsibility for an issue that was ultimately a manufacturing flaw and not a mistake on his part. “I highly recommend 88 Conctracting team for the abundance of experience, reliability, honesty, cleanliness, punctuality, good communication and great customer service skills.
The 88 Conctracting team came last week to fix my leaky second floor toilet. Initially, it was thought that only the wax ring had to be replaced, but it became obvious that the flange needed to be replaced also. The team showed me the broken iron flange and the other pieces of iron that came out with it. A new flange was purchased and put in place. The affected subfloor area was replaced. One really amazingly efficient strategy of this project, among others, was that the team was so very careful when removing the original floor tiles, that the tiles did not have to be replaced! The project installation has a one year guarantee. So far, there is no evidence of leaking and the bathroom looks as if it has never been disturbed.”
